A dynamic and proactive Pediatric Technician (Ped Tech) is a trained caregiver that assis! ts under the direction of a Registered Nurse (R.N.). Ped Tech’s are given the opportunity to apply their clinical skills to patients by surveying medical equipment, monitors and sensors, by interacting with the pediatric patients while transporting them to their medical destination, and tending to their healthcare needs and overall healing process.
A resourceful Ped Tech is a valued contributor to the medical staff when keeping thorough charts, preparing medical rooms and assisting with procedures. Able to communicate effectively in a crisis or disaster situation and maintain competent work levels.

Entry Rate: $10.08 plus credit for experience
Benefits Eligible: NO
Shift Detail! s: PRN position, no guaranteed hours. This position will n! ot have set hours but will be scheduled to cover sick calls and vacations. Variable shifts are Monday through Friday. Shifts start as early as 6 a.m. and can end as late as 11:30 p.m. Shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours or 12 hours in length. No weekends required. Position does require rotating call for holidays and nights.

Additional Details: This position requires that you be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call.
Minimum Requirements
This position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification. An original card must be verified prior to start date or the job offer will be withdrawn. For additional information regarding CPR requirements please visit our Job Requirements Page .
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call

Physical Requirements
Hearing / Listening, Manual Dexterity, Seeing, Sitting, Speaking, Squatting / Kneeling.
Pulling/Pushing; Must be able to pull and push patient beds
Lifting; Must be able to lift 50 pounds or greater multiple times during a shift
Standing, Walking; Must be able to stand for long period of time and walk for long distances
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Certification or completion of first semester of clinicals from of an accredited nursing program highly preferred
Hospital surgical services tech work experience
Pediatric Patient Care experience
