Respiratory Therapy Instructor

Duties include teaching the entire range of biology and respiratory core courses from beginning to advance. This position is responsible for the instructing and implementation of respiratory competencies for students in an advanced care practitioner program. The instructor must be able to help students develop critical thinking skills necessary for effective clinical practice. Basic duties will involve instruction, tutoring, and some curriculum development in coordination with the program director. The instructor ! is responsible for the retention of students from the beginnin! g to the ending of the module, and administering confidential student evaluations and assessments for each course taught.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree required
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree preferred in a heath care related field or in education
  • RRT credential and current RCP license in the state of California
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in acute care to include ICU.
  • Teaching/training experience preferred.
