Coordinator, Clinical Evaluation

Job Summary:
The Center for Excellence in Higher Education (CEHE) is an at-will employer that serves students by providing high-quality education services in a caring environment to everyone desiring to enhance their quality of life and employment potential.

In support of this, a clinical instructor is responsible for all activities in creating a "hands-on" learning atmosphere in which course objectives can be practiced and reinforced from the classroom. The clinical instructor's respon! sibilities are enumerated below.

Qualifications: The Practicum Coordinator must be knowledgeable in program curriculum, as evidenced by education and/or experience, and effective in evaluating student learning and performance.

Education: High School diploma or equivalency.

Experience:

  • Must be knowledgeable in program curriculum, as evidenced by education and/or experience, and effective in evaluating student learning and performance
Technical:
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
Essential Functions:
  • Select and approve appropriate practicum sites.
  • Provide orientation for the on-site supervisors.
  • Provide oversight of the Practicum experience, including on-site assessment of student experiences and the quality of learning opportunities at least once during each term students are assigned to the P! racticum site.
  • Abide by school policies/procedures as outlined in the CEHE Staff Training Manual.
  • Attend annual graduation ceremony.
  • Attend all scheduled faculty and staff meetings.
  • Participate in committees assigned/when appropriate.
  • Attend program meetings as assigned by Program Director.
  • Attend advisory committee meetings when appropriate.
  • Provide all externship (practicum) support of the facility and the student
  • Meet at least weekly with the educational leader to discuss student progress.
  • Meet at least at least once during each term students are assigned to the Practicum site.
  • Report to program director weekly as to progress of student and quality of medical supervision and education.
  • Help evaluate curriculum annually with teachers and program director.
  • Help evaluate and seek textbooks and course material annually.
  • Guide students in educational concerns. ! Refer students to program director for personal matters.
  • Maint! ain professional status through testing professional memberships, professional readings, research, publications, etc.
  • Provide feedback to program director as to placement opportunities.
  • Provide written evaluation of employer and student satisfaction during the course of the externship for student files.
  • Maintain all paper work and calculate final externship grade.
  • Other duties as assigned
