Provide leadership in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the curricular offerings for nursing program. Establish and maintain an atmosphere of good! human relations and professional growth for faculty and students. Promote and education faculty so as to achieve and maintain standards of excellence in teaching in order for each student to derive the greatest academic benefits from each learning experience.Instill in students the desire to meet their professional dreams and goals.
DUTIES
"* Coordinate on and off-campus learning activities pertaining to all practice experiences for the program.
- Coordinate course scheduling and instructor assignments each semester.
- Recruit and hire full time and adjunct faculty when need arises.
- Evaluate faculty performance and ensure development and supervision as needed.
- Participate in development, implementation, and updating curriculum.
- Attend and participate in scheduled meetings; including but not limited to, weekly campus meetings and bimonthly nursing administrative meetings
- Conduct semi-annual program advi! sory board meetings.
- Implement college retention plan! .
- Ensure academic counseling by faculty for students in the program.
- Provide weekly report of Program Administrator/campus activities.
- Conduct annual program review to be presented to the Academic Dean, State Board of Nursing, and NLNAC.
- Implement program evaluation plan on individual campus.
- Perform evaluation of specified areas in comprehensive evaluation plan.
- Meet weekly with Academic Dean(s).
b. Develop and map progress of NPA development plan.
- Develop an annual professional development plan and meet with the Academic Dean to discuss and approve.
- Implement a professional development plan and guide other faculty members in the same process.
- Observe and evaluate performance of faculty members as it pertains to their professional development.
- Participate in commencement activities.
- Provide input into and track pr! ogram operating and capital expenditure budgets.
- Oversee student registration process for the program.
- Work with college officers to ensure program is in compliance with all accreditation standards.
- Prepare requested reports and documents
- Verify required materials are submitted on time.
- Receive and provide data as necessary concerning institutional and program policies.
- Carry out other position-related responsibilities as requested by the Academic Dean and/or College President.
- Ensure Faculty review, implement, evaluate and maintain consistently across campus(es) of the curriculum.
- Review accuracy of course syllabi.
- Ensure consistency of program offerings between campuses.
- Direct admissions, retention, and graduation efforts in conjunction with Nursing ADOA.
- Coordinate all practice experiences across campuses ! including initiating new practice contracts.
b. Ensure that practice experiences across campuses are similar for all students while taking into account the population demographics.
c. Ensure that faculty in the simulation lab are proficient in developing and implementing scenarios.
d. Ensure that faculty utilize the simulation lab appropriately.
e. Ensure contracts remain current.
- Establish and facilitate excellent relationships with practice/practicum sites.
b. Oversee Faculty in determining contacts for practice sites and coordination with each site.
c. Participate with Faculty of the program in development, implementation and evaluation of policies related to student practice experiences.
- Coordinate development and implementation of practice/practicum ! schedules for students in conjunction with identified needs specific to campus and faculty members.
b. Ensure similar experiences for all students while considering individual populations being served.
- Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies related to student practice experiences.

b. Communicate with faculty to determine issues, concerns, and sites that need to be re-evaluated.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience teaching in an accredited nursing education program.
Master's d! egree in nursing required, doctorate in nursing or related field prefer! red.
Possess or eligible for Utah RN License.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of current RN practice. Organizational skills and management experience including accountability for fiscal tracking. Academic preparation in curriculum design and development, implementation, and evaluation required. Ability to manage program population of at least 50 students. Ability to organize in order to have adequate time to fulfill the role and responsibilities.
