POSITION SUMMARY

This position includes member-facing activities and allows staff to use their therapeutic skills. The strong emphasis on clinical details provides multiple opportunities to increase clinical knowledge and work with a multi-disciplinary team. Ideal candidate brings high energy, a positive att! itude and broad experience. This is a combined Utilization Rev! iew and Case Management position for behavioral health cases. Unique opportunity to develop a dual role. Utilizes clinical skills to coordinate, document and communicate all aspects of the utilization/benefit management program for pre-admission, concurrent review, discharge planning and follow-up assessment. Applies critical thinking and is knowledgeable about clinical practice guidelines.

Displays ability to collaborate with psychiatrists and other providers on behalf of members. Prefer experience with advanced motivational interviewing skills to engage members in case management for full stabilization after a BH hospitalization. Creates therapeutic and monitoring relationships with clients by phone. Strong emphasis on planning, problem-resolution and coordinating follow-up care for the members. Ability to collaborate well with multi-disciplinary team and other departments.

Required Skills:
EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired ! for candidates in this position is a Master's degree.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Mental Health/Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Psychologist (LP), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Registered Nurse (RN) is required

Functional - Medical Management/Behavioral Science/clinical experience/3-5 Years
Functional - Mental Health/Behavioral Health/psych/3-5 Years
Functional - Clinical/Medical/Concurrent review/discharge planning/1-3 Years
