Registered Nurse
Provides direct & indirect patient care in the tele/Critical Care / ICU unit. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians/Director/Charge Nurse /co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies & symptomology. Responds quickly & accurately to patient changes in condition/response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties specific to needs of critical care patients.
Additional functions when acting as Charge Nurse: Make patient care assignments based on the skill, experience, & temperament of nursing personnel & on acuity of patients, ensuring patient, staff safety, assist in the evaluation of performance & skills of Agency/Temporary staff & regular nursing staff. Responsibly directs & precepts staff members as needed/assigned in all aspects of patient care management. Participates in quality & process improvement in the department during all phases from planning to implementing and sustaining efforts.
Requirements
Current Nursing license for the State of Utah Minimum of 2 year experience as a RN Telemetry or Med Surg BLS or CPR required, ACLS required. Computer & Internet Skills required. Must be able to communicate fluently in English. This is a basic job requirement.
Preferences
Telemetry & EKG readings or use of equipment prefered. Additional Language skills preferred.
