Incumbents within the Office of the Inspector General, Nurse Investigator III position, performs a wide array of duties within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act and Professional Licensure providing an evaluation of health provider services that include review of medical records to confirm appropriate care has been provided and correct coding and billing practices have occurred. If within this process waste, abuse, or fraud is identified, recovery of reimbursement must be made according to the administration of the Medicaid Program for the Utah Department of Health.
