Transporter - Patient Transport, Full Time

Location: Salt Lake City Utah

Description: St. Mark's Hospital is at present recruited Transporter - Patient Transport, Full Time right now, this occupation will be placed in Utah. Under the direction of the Nursing Support Services Director and/or Emergency Department Clinical Supervisor, transports patients to and from the Radiolog! y Department and the Emergency Department. Is in direct contact at all times with the Radiology Department Control Center, to be available for immediate dispatch for transportation of patients.

Transports patients to and from the Radiology Department and the Emergency Department.

Checks portable oxygen tanks at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure that they are full and all parts operating properly.

Reports any deviations to the Quality Control Coordinator.

Cleans transportation equipment on a regular basis and performs minor repairs as needed.

Assists with Stocking Supplies, and assisting Emergency Staff with patient discharges, i.e. helping them dress, helping them out to the waiting room.

Performs other related duties as required.

Will engage in communication hand-off when transporting patients to and from Radiology.

Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the ages of the patients served! .

Qualifications

Job qualifications inclu! de:
High school diploma or GED preferred

Current EMT Licensure

Current BLS Certificate

One year experience as an EMT in medical field

Strong, clearly defined perspective on customer service and what that means for the patient experience.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
