Works under Unit Director of department 3011 Medical/Surgical and Orthopaedics! . Provides mentoring and education at the bedside for Ortho staff. Support staff nurses to maintain automony and accountability in the unit. Develops Power Points and Education materials for On Line Learning through the I-Heal system with assistance of Unit Director. Works closely with quality and risk department and participates in ambassador rounding on 3rd and 4th floors. Supervises and evaluates patient care on Ortho unit. Works with volunteer organizations to help coordinate good will services. Will do patient care as needed. Performs Chart Audits as assigned. Monitors meaningful use documentation and provides direction to assure staff compliance.

Has working knowledge of HCAHPS and Core Measure expectations and mentors staff to in these areas. Answers call lights, addresses patient needs. Provides all ranges of patient care. Provides discharge teaching when needed.

The is a 40 hours per week position. M- F with hours adjusted to patient census and ac! uity. Must be willing to work flexible hours.

Require! ments

Must be licensed as an RN in the State of Utah
Must have one year RN experience in medical/surgical and orthopaedics
Must have charge nurse and/or supervisor experience
