Description: Intermountain Healthcare is at the momment seeking for Scrub Tech-Labor/Delivery right now, this vacancy will be placed in Utah. The Scrub Technician (Scrub Tech) is a vital member of the Labor & Delivery patient care team providing care and comfort to patients and families under the direction of the nursing staff. In thi! s position the Scrub Tech is able to utilize and develop clinical skills to ensure a positive patient experience. The Scrub Tech obtains and documents vital signs of the patient and newborn before, during and after delivery. Other responsibilities include preparing patient rooms, assisting patients before and after delivery, preparing surgical suites for C-sections and tubal ligations, and assisting the delivering physician. The Scrub Tech truly makes a difference in the lives of delivering moms, their babies, and other family members on a daily basis.

Minimum Requirements

Current Utah Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification

Good keyboarding and data entry skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent patient care skills

Previous experience working with the public

Will be required to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Will be required to continue to learn and accept new responsibilities within scope of practice

Will be required to work well with coworkers in team setting

Will be required to learn scrub c-sections

Preferred Qualifications

Operating Room orientation basic training

Previous experience in hospital environment
