The Utilization Reviewer/Intake Coordinator will facilitate the interdisciplinary plan of care with a focus on! evaluating the appropriateness of clinical care, medical necessity, admission status, level of care, and resource management. Is responsible for the education and necessary screening of individuals seeking information and/or admission to the chemical dependency program. This person will establish and maintain consistent and direct communication with nursing and physician staff of ACT Unit in order to demonstrate and document appropriate admission criteria or referral resources that will best meet each individuals needs.
This position is responsible for marketing activities associated with ACT.
Qualifications
Current state licensure (one of the following): LPN, RN, LCSW, LSAC.
Minimum Associate Degree.
Prefer an MSN, MSW, LCSW, CSW or LPC.
3 years nursing or clinical experience in Drug and Alcohol.
Case Management experience preferred.
