We seek a Registered Nurse with AAPC or AHIMA coding certification and two (2) years of medical records auditing and coding experience for the role of RN Coding Auditor . In this role you will assists in planning, coordinating, conducting, and reporting on post payment claims audits of the Payment Integrity Department. You will work in this role from Tacoma or remotely from elsewhere in Washington, Oregon, Utah or Idaho.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and be licensed in Washington, Oregon, Utah or Idaho. Must have prior experience with ICD-9! and ICD-10 coding. Must have demonstrated competency in claim! review and experience in using billing and claims forms (UB, CMS, and HCFA).. Must have demonstrated knowledge in reading and interpreting medical records and patient data with an ability to communicate with staff both medically and non-medically. Must have proven ability in devising and following an audit program. Must hold certification with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Preference given to candidates who have RHIA or HRIT certification.
