Further informations about this position opportunity please read the description below. Avalon Health Care is seeking an experienced Senior Vice President of Clinical Services! This position is based out of our Support Services! Center in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Senior Vice President of Clinical Services plans, organizes and directs quality patient care standards, policies and programs; and is responsible for the development, maintenance, implementation and evaluation of a total quality management program.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assists Operations Management in the development and maintenance of a culture of caring and care excellence throughout Avalon.
- Champions and oversees the development and implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Responsible for Special Projects such as developing Medically Complex Units, etc.
- Responsible for assuring that Avalonâs Medicare/Medicaid/Cal/documentation/reimbursement is accurate and appropriate.
- Chairs the Quality Assurance Committee.
- Develops, maintains and periodically updates written nursing policies, procedures, manuals and objectives.
- Comm! unicates policies, procedures, etc. to Regions for review and ! endorsement prior to implementation.
- Develops and implements methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services.
- Plans and implements a quality assurance program, resident discharge procedures and a nursing services organization structure.
- Responsible for assuring that all aspects of nursing services are in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
- Responsible for planning and assisting operations with implementing quality assurance activities at the facility level, including a skin integrity monitoring system, infection control log system, accident/incident monitoring, weight and vital signs log, fall preventions program, in-service tracking system, quality assurance logs and quality assurance audits.
- Advises management regarding the financial aspect of nursing, i.e. labor hours control, nursing staffing model.
- P! articipates in various committees as needed.
- Other duties as needed

Required Skills
- Bachelorâs Degree in Nursing. M! aster's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or related field is p! referred.
- Must possess an active RN license in good standing in the state to which you are applying.
- Excellent leadership skills
- Proficient with Federal and state regulations.
- A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in clinical operations leadership role in skilled nursing with multi-state/multi-site management and oversight.
- Additional leadership experience in a LTAC setting is a plus
