Job Summary

Oversees all administrative, financial, and technical functions of the Student Services Center at the College of Nursing, including: Undergraduate, Graduate, PhD, & Gerontology programs; and certificate programs. Organizes and assigns duties to Student Services staff and directs the Student Services advisors and secretarial support staff of the program’s activities and needs. Directs the allocation of resources and scholarships as well as serves and participates on University and outside committees.

Responsibilities

1. Manages administrative functions of Student Services Center to support the Undergraduate, Graduate, PhD, and certificate Programs.

2. Provides information about program and admissions to potential students, faculty, staff, stakeholders and community.

3. Provides oversight on scholarship and financial aid for all undergraduate! and graduate programs.

4. Oversees the preparation o! f targeted and timely recruitment materials, tracks and communicates with potential students, and prepares reports and paperwork associated with program recruitment.

5. Drafts, proposes and implements program specific systems, protocols and procedures to support Student Services Center in advancing the various academic programs within the College of Nursing.

6. Facilitates the organization of student orientations, workshops, seminars, and special events, including convocation.

7. Supervises, advises, and counsels support staff members; assists in the selection process of professional staff members.

8. Directs the financial planning and preparation of budgets.

9. Creates relationships with University colleges and departments to advance the goals of the Programs.

10. Acts as a resource person and coordinator for explaining and complying with University Policies and Procedures.

11. Represents the College of Nursing! and all Programs to the community at large and at National meetings and recruitment venues.

12. Assists Program Director(s) and faculty as needed to carry out the objectives of the Program.

13. Oversees recruitment and outreach diversity activities.

14. Serves and participates on University and outside committees.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area, or equivalency; eight years of progressively more responsible management experience; and demonstrated leadership, human relations and effective communications skills required.
