Director of Operations

Location: Salt Lake City Utah

This is a Full Time permanent position. The Director of Operations provides operational support and administrative oversight to the nursing programs to ensure high quality competency-based degree programs in nursing-related disciplines. S/he is responsible to the CNO for facilitating the nursing programs and student success in collaboration with University departments and nursing faculty.

Responsibilities:

• Participates in regular and ongoing evaluation of existing programs to ensure that they are current and that quality standards are maintained; participates in ongoing r! evision and improvement processes in collaboration with produc! t development and other departments.
• Leads the National Clinical Operations team to ensure national consistency in state-based prelicensure program decisions, supports and operations.
• Supports the CNO and the Compliance and Accreditation department in achieving, maintaining and sustaining accreditation of all nursing programs.
• Supports the CNO in new state or national program approvals including site visits, Board presentations and documentation.
• Serves as a member of the Academic Leadership Team and provides collaborative support and cooperation to other colleges and departments of the university

Supports the management of the financial budget of the Program with day-to-day accountability for budget management and participates in budget planning and development.

• Serves as a model to the faculty
• Represents the University to external constituencies
• Responsible for facilitating special projects! and communications for the improvement and advancement of the nursing programs to external audiences (continuing education approvals, special recognitions, publications and external communications)
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Doctorate degree preferred, Masters in Nursing required
• Professional experience and/or clinical practice and significant teaching experience in a health-related field.
• Current and unencumbered Utah registered nurse license required.
• Strong track record of successful academic and/or industry leadership as a manager or administrator
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with integrated technology systems and tools
