CASI is a degree-granting institution and offers degrees in Computer Science, Graphic Arts, Business/Accounting, Medical Specialties, Nursing, and Healthcare Administration.PHYSICS INSTRUCTORWe are looking for an positive, team player who can work independently and efficiently teach in a fast paced on-line Physics course. Our courses are offered every 4 weeks and the Physics course is offered most MODS with varying class sizes. The Instructor must be technologically capable, work quickly and know how to interact with other asynchronously while still teaching an interesting, effective course. ⢠Bachelors in Physics or related degree (Master's or Ph.D. preferred)⢠Minimum of 4 years work experience in physics, engineering or closely related field (no exceptions)⢠Technology Savvy- previous work experience with Pearson Learning Studio is a plus⢠Passion for teachingEssential Functions:⢠Conduct classes in accordance with established syllabi and lesson plans. ⢠Prepare, administer and grade assignments, quizzes and tests.⢠Provide objective and subjective feedback regarding student performance.⢠Maintain records of student attendance, grades, lab, and/or homework assignments.⢠Advise students regarding academic matters to improve successful course completion.⢠Communicate pro-actively with campus administration regarding student issues. ⢠Ensure campus and college regulations and policies are known and followed.⢠Maintain a healthy, secure, and safe classroom environment.⢠Participate in scheduled faculty meetings and in services.Requirements: Must have a current working knowledge of all theory and practical applications for courses being taught, be able to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and through appropriate electronic media, and be able to work successfully in a team environment. Must hold the appropriate degree for courses being taught, as stipulated by ACCSC.
