Clinical Quality Analyst

Location: South Jordan, Utah

Description: Verscend Technologies is hiring Clinical Quality Analyst right now, this career will be hold in Utah. More details about this career opportunity please read the description below. Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

• Perform clinical quality assurance review of daily claims editing reviews and appeals and provide feedback/training to improve quality and accuracy.
• Act as clinical expert for interpretation of Verscend coding review policies and guidelines.
• Mentor clinical/facility analysts (I and II) in learning and applying the rules and guidelines of coding and the application of company policies and procedures for claim review and appeals.
• Contribute to various product lines by providing feedback to management and development teams on changes needed to enhance editing and efficiency. Participate on the Quality Committee as required.
• Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
• Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.  

Requirements:

• Active professional license as a Registered Nurse (B.S.N. preferred) or L.P.N.; CPC, CPC-H or AHIMA certification, required within 12 months of transfer or hire.
• 3 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Proven experience as Clinical/Facility Analyst I and/or II for minimum of one (1) year.
• Proven knowledge of facility and/or professional claims payment methodologies, payer policies and/or payer contracting along with highly-developed analytic skills with general knowledge of medical procedures, conditions, illnesses, and treatment practices.
• Demonstrable knowledge of medical procedures, conditions, illnesses and treatment practices with ability to think logically and process sequentially with a high level of detailed accuracy and efficiency.
• Above average personal computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
