Coordinator, Patient Services (RN licensure)

NURSING LEADERSHIP POSITION with the College of Nursing working onsite at the Sutter Physician Services (SPS) Call Center located in Murray, Utah. Participates in all aspects of patient/customer service, human resource, and financial management goals and objectives within the College of Nursing Fac! ulty Practice contract with SPS. The coordinator provides direct patient services in accordance with the scope of practice of their RN license.

DUTIES

1. Jointly develops and implements patient/customer service, human resource and financial goals and objectives in partnership with College of Nursing Faculty Practice and SPS RN Advice Line Services leadership.
2. Partners with both College of Nursing and Sutter Physician Services leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures.
3. Performs aspects of human resource management of assigned staff, including interviewing, front-line performance management counseling and quality/performance monitoring and reporting.
4. Ensures patient/customer satisfaction by analyzing patient/customer complaints, concerns and suggestions and providing appropriate follow-through.
5. Jointly forecasts staffing, capital and operating budget needs in partnersh! ip with Sutter Physician Services leadership and College of Nu! rsing Faculty Practice Operations Director.
6. Plans and organizes staff and facilities to meet patient/customer needs in partnership with Sutter Physician Services and College of Nursing leadership.
7. Supervises clinical care services as appropriate
8. Provides direct patient services in accordance with the scope of practice for an RN according to both California and Utah nurse practice acts.
9. Markets and promotes new and existing programs and services to internal and external customers.
10. Participates in committees to establish patient/customer service and administrative plans and policies.
11. Facilitates cooperative and collaborative community and institutional relationships, while representing the needs and interests of the College of Nursing SHGA program.
12. May initiate and/or assist with the researching, planning, developing, presenting, implementing, evaluating, revising and maintaining educational programs.

QUALIFICATIONS!

RN with Bachelor's degree in a clinical area, health care administration, business administration or a related field, or equivalency; two years of progressively more responsible health care experience; and excellent communication and time management skills a must. Preferences include 2 years of RN experience, experience in leadership and management, experience with telehealth and phone triage, and experience with Epic EHR.
