Responsibilities:
This position ensures the quality and integrity of internal facing and external facing software products developed by IT. The associate in this role is expected to create acceptance criteria from business user requests, create and implement test plans for insuring quality and integrity, analyze testing patterns and processes to make recommendations for automation and assist QA Software Engineers! in the creation of automated tests. This position requires go! od interpersonal skills, good communication skills, and the ability to accept and act quickly on feedback.
Key areas of responsibility include the following:
- Analyze business user requests and developing acceptance criteria that can be used by development to determine the “completeness†of the request.
- Creating test plans for applications and other software products, both those submitted for release and those anticipated for release.
- Testing of applications and other software products based on the test plan and judgment, utilizing experience, testing techniques and procedures to insure the quality of the product being tested
- Collecting metric data and analyzing testing trends and procedures to help develop test automation plans.
- Guide the creation of automated testing suites, working closely with QA Software Engineers
- Maintain and expand existing automated testing suite.
- Maintain communic! ation of quality assurance activities, both verbally and through writtenmethods
- Must have a minimum 3+ years quality assurance and testing experience within software development
- Must have solid automation testing experience including scripting.
- Some experience with software development and T-SQL queries preferred.
- Experience with website testing is preferred.
- Experience with agile testing techniques and best practices preferred.
- Must have exceptional communication skills (oral, written, listening).
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in teams.
- Must have the ability to quickly learn new skills, systems and processes.
- Must be detail oriented and have a strong analytical ability
