Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens

Are you looking for a beautiful mountain scene in! suburban Salt Lake City, UT? This outpatient clinic is looking for a child psychiatrist available to start within 30 days on an ongoing basis. This state of the art facility is equipped with nurses, therapist, electronic medical records, and two associate psychiatrists for consultations. The facility is part of a large, accredited hospital system in Utah. Your role as the mental health physician will be to perform medication checks and evaluations, update all records for the patients' treatment plan, and participate in team meetings. A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some! conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety,! bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity all candidates must be licensed in the state of Utah, and have an active DEA license.
