This position is responsible for providing a variety of specialized duties by preparing and maintaining aseptic supplies, through the ordering and stocking function.
This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares the cath lab procedures rooms by ensuring that adequate stock is available.
- Orders and maintains supplies.
- Processes film and maintains lab book of patient films.
- Assists cath lab staff in the operation of the lab.
- Assists in cleaning, assembling and sterilizing equipment.
- Transports and/or escorts stabilized patients to nursing units.
- Serve! s as back-up for Central Service Aide.
- Assembles custom biopsy sheath kits.
- Demonstrated potential ability to perform the essential functions as outlined above.
- Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills.
Required
- Two years of hospital experience.
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card through American Heart Association or obtain within one month of hire.
