Wound Care Technician
Wound care tech will assist RN or PT with basic patient care at the Hyperbaric Wound Care Center. Wound care tech is able to do hands-on patient care and inventory control and ordering. Able to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include lifting and carrying at least 50lbs., transferring and repositioning patients, and extensive bending and standing. Additional responsibilities include; dressing removal, wound cleansing, taking wound photo's & vital signs, set up and clean up of patient exam rooms, instrument cleaning, set up for special procedures, and coordinates with Vendors and SLRMC,s Material Management and other departments.
Requirements
High School Diploma required. 1 year of combined basic clinical care in any of these areas preferred; Experience as a PT Therapy Aide, Certified Medical Assistant, or Certified Nursing Assistant or EMT. CPR or BLS training required.
